Oil vs Gas

I was at the PECO Contractor Meeting a couple weeks ago and I have been meaning to tell you all about a staggering statistic they presented to us.

Did you know the current cost of gas is $0.96/ccf.  In order for fuel oil to be comparable to gas, it would need to $1.29/gallon . Well, if you are heating your house with oil, you know your not getting oil for $1.29/gallon. Maybe more like $3.80/gallon!  That is $2.51 MORE per gallon than gas. I was totally shocked by these numbers. In addition, according to the U.S Energy Information Administrations Short Term Energy Outlook that was released Sept 11, 2012, this huge gap in fuel prices is expected to continue.  If you are looking to make the switch from oil to gas, now is definitely a good time. With PGW offering $500 to switch and up to $2000 for upgrading to a high efficient unit, now is a good time to take advantage of these money saving rebates and low gas prices.  Call today for more information 215-427-3228
